In most wisdom traditions the term "Practice" is used by beginners and masters to signify both time spent and activity intended to bring one closer to self, Creator, and all creation. Improvisation on the piano and flute and singing, for me, are practices in which I feel most at home with myself, my Creator, and with all creation.
About Ruah Musica
Ruah Musica is a place where spirit, music and ritual are explored for the fun of it as well as for the goals of increasing the experiences of meaning making and connections throughout and beyond the experiences of extended illness. We celebrate many faiths, cultures, and languages, with the goal of supporting increased life quality for all.
The term "Ruah" is Hebrew and means "Wind" or "Spirit." I love and use this term because of its inherent universality and connectivity. I first learned the term when studying the wisdom literature of the Old Testament.
